Welcome

Welcome to 22 Adams Street. We purchased this home in 2007 & originally used it as a second home when traveling from Charlotte for work. Over time, our jobs have changed & we no longer use it for work - but still enjoy spending time in Asheville whenever we can. In the meantime, we have opened up our home as a fully furnished rental. It is ideal for contractors, nurses or other professionals in need of a corporate rental. We guarantee you will feel much more at home than you would in an extended stay hotel or other similar arrangement.

Situated between downtown Asheville (1 mile away) and the famous Biltmore House (1.8 miles away), our home is a quick 2 minute drive (.7 miles away) from Mission Hospital. The Asheville Tourists baseball stadium is less than a mile away and the River Arts District is a 2 block walk.

The home was built in 1970 & is a cozy, warm 816 square foot (upstairs) 3 bedroom, 2 bathroom brick & fiber cement siding home. An awning covers the front patio & a river birch shades the fenced in front yard. Stones, landscape timbers, rosemary, hostas, river stones & ornamental grasses provide a peaceful backdrop for hummingbirds to sip nectar from the hummingbird feeder, teal light candles to hang from the branches of the trees in the evenings. Off street parking in the driveway leads to a one car garage enters the basement & the garage door opener makes it convenient to pull in directly to an optionally heated & semi-finished basement (i.e. man cave for the gentlemen out there!) A full sized washer & dryer are located in the basement, along with a work bench, mini fridge, TV with original Nintendo Entertainment System (we still have the Duck Hunt guns!) and a futon & gently loved couch provide a perfect weekend/late evening entertaining area.

As you walk up the stairs from the basement, you enter a 816 square foot, open floor plan. The kitchen is well equipped with dishes & glassware, silverware & an assortment of kitchen utensils that make it easy to cook & entertain. Off the side of the kitchen, a door opens to the side patio where a charcoal grill awaits.  The kitchen has an electric range/oven, refrigerator/freezer, toaster oven, microwave oven, crockpot, griddle, teapot, pots/pans & a unique kitchen table that has slide out panels to accommodate more people. The kitchen looks into the living room with a leather, sectional couch & flat screen TV. An iPod docking station & DVD player are available for your entertainment needs & WIFI is available in the house. Down the hall, you'll find a full bath (tub/shower combo) and all 3 bedrooms. The master has another full bath (tub/shower combo) in it & a queen sized bed. The second bedroom has a bunk bed system with a full mattress on the lower level & a twin on top.  Finally, the third room has a twin bed, writing desk & a wall of shelves in lieu of a hanging closet.

Hardwood floors & linoleum in the kitchen allow us to consider renters traveling with pets. We allow dogs on a case by case basis. Unfortunately, one of the owners has a cat allergy, and we cannot allow cats.

The house is stocked with novels, guide books (fishing, hiking & the like), boxed games, games for the Nintendo, CDs & DVD/VHS tapes, bocce balls, a canoe (please inquire about use), camping chairs & other miscellaneous outdoor equipment. For families traveling with small children, a pack & play, booster chair/high chair, newborn bathtub and umbrella stroller are available.

Recently, we included yard service & an onsite property manager to be available for any needs you may have while you are there. As well, a mini-remodel of both bathrooms has been completed in the Spring of 2012.

Linens & towels are not included. Please bring your own.
